M’Liss joined FNAS in February, 2015, bringing with her more than two decades of combined experience in private practice and as in-house counsel in the areas of corporate law, regulatory compliance, commercial real estate, commercial lending, receivership and creditors’ rights, including four years as Assistant Vice President and Rhode Island State Counsel for LandAmerica Financial Group. She also served as a judicial clerk to the justices of the Rhode Island Superior Court. M’Liss obtained her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, where she was a member of the National Intellectual Property Moot Court Team, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Florida Land Title Association and California Land Title Association.
From 2005 through 2008, M’Liss served as an instructor for the continuing education program sponsored by the Rhode Island Realtors Association. In addition, she was a contributing author to Practical Guide to Residential Real Estate Transactions & Foreclosures in Rhode Island.
In her position, M’Liss supervises the underwriters, attends to regulatory matters and develops the educational resources and webinars for FNAS agents. Having been a title agent herself during her years in private practice, M’Liss is familiar with the obstacles faced by our agents. She is committed to finding mutually beneficial solutions to ensure transactions come to a smooth closing.
M’Liss lives in West Greenwich, Rhode Island with her husband, George and their diva dog, Kaya.
